Community Service


During the School Year, students of St. Margaret's

 School participated in many Community Service



  • 1st Grade Project:  "Feast of St. Francis" Collected almost $2000 to help purchase a service dog for "Gracie," one of our parishioners;
  • Paper towel drive for The Francis House;
  • Collected extra Halloween candy for the troops in Afghanistan;
  • In November, collected canned goods to benefit food pantries;
  • Pre-K Project:  "Operation Christmas child"  Sent shoeboxes of goodies to less-fortunate children around the world;
  • 3rd, 4th & 6th Grades:  Adopted families from the area and bought Christmas gifts for them;
  • Kindergarten Project:  "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts" Collected mittens and gloves for people in need;
  • 2nd grade Project:  Made sandwiches for the Samaritan Center;
  • 5th Grade:  Macy's Make a Wish program; made pictures to deliver to various senior centers in the area;
  • Jump-rope for the American Heart Association;
  • Collected $227 for the Syracuse Symphony (and then donated to the Syracuse Youth Orchestra);
  • 6th Grade:  Stuffed bulletins for the church on various occasions;
  • School Chorus sang at various nursing homes during the holidays to bring cheer to the residents;
  • Afterschool Program donated toys to children in need; and
  • Dress down days to benefit several charities in the area, including St. Baldrick's Day, the Mikey Fund, and the Parish Mardi Gras celebration, to name a few.
  • United Way Campagne Staff and Faculty contribute
